Hey Gluten Free Fam,

Those in the gluten free and coeliac space recognise how important it is to find brands that are trustworthy and loved for quality and consistency. With supermarkets often switching what is available on shelves, it’s essential to find businesses who deliver where it matters most.

This is the case with Australian owned Gourmet Granny’s, a family made and run business who offer a range that is 100% gluten free. Forget having to scan ingredient packets carefully to avoid cross-contamination, because this brand has you covered for coeliac-friendly demands, ensuring safe meals the whole family can enjoy.

Let’s take a closer look at what this local outlet provides for gluten free family value here in Australia.

Gourmet Granny’s Delivering Gluten Free Delights

As a proudly Australian-owned and made family-run business, Gourmet Granny’s are a special find for coeliac and gluten free consumers. With a range that is entirely gluten free, the company has built a foundation on a Flavour First philosophy. Products are designed to make everyday cooking easier while still tasting homemade. That’s no easy task in the current climate, with many items marked gluten free struggling to achieve an organic taste made fresh out of the kitchen.

So who best suits the range available at Gourmet Granny’s? If you’re part of a busy family needing gluten free meals and recipes, or seeking winter comfort food made easy at home, this brand is for you. It’s a local provider built on tradition, nostalgia and bringing people together around food.

Gourmet Granny’s offer gluten free meals and recipes that are warm, trustworthy and authentic. Here is where real home-cooked flavour is made easy, removing a lot of the hassle and stress local families find around this time of the year for coeliac-friendly lunches and dinners.

Whole Pumpkin Beef Casserole Bake Recipe

The first Gourmet Granny’s recipe is the kind of meal that makes the whole house smell incredible. Their gluten free Whole Pumpkin Beef Casserole Bake is one not to be missed.

To begin, take one whole pumpkin and carefully cut the top off like a lid. Scoop out the seeds and hollow it slightly to create space for the filling.

The Filling:
• Fresh quality diced beef
• 1 x Gourmet Granny’s Beef Casserole Sachet
• Mushrooms, onion and a handful of spinach if you like extra veggies (optional extra)

Fill the pumpkin with the mixture, place the lid back on and roast in the oven low and slow until the pumpkin is soft and the beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender.

Once ready, scoop straight from the pumpkin onto plates with crusty bread or mash. The best part? The pumpkin slowly caramelises as it cooks, adding even more rich flavour to the stroganoff.

Comfort food at its finest and surprisingly easy to throw together on a cooler night.

We couldn’t possibly leave you without offering another delicious Gourmet Granny’s homemade gluten free recipe perfect for winter mealtime. This is their special Curried Chicken & Veg Hand Pies, ideal for any lunch or dinner occasion during the cold season.

Ingredients (makes 8–10):

  • 2 cups pre-cooked chicken, shredded (if using a packet of pre-cooked chicken, make sure it’s gluten free)

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1 cup frozen peas & corn

  • 1 sachet Gourmet Granny’s Mild Curry Sauce Mix

  • 1 ½ cups Chicken Stock

  • 4–5 sheets gluten free puff pastry (we recommend Simply Wize)

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten (for brushing)

  • Olive oil, salt & pepper

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, cook onion until softened.

  2. Stir through Mild Curry Mix with stock, simmer until thickened.

  3. Add shredded pre-cooked chicken, peas & corn, stir to combine.

  4. Cut pastry sheets into squares, spoon filling in the centre, fold and seal.

  5. Brush with egg, place on lined baking tray.

  6. Bake at 200°C for 20–25 minutes until golden.

Granny’s Tip: Make double and freeze the extras – they bake beautifully straight from frozen on busy nights.
