NEWS: Local Boy Connor Donates Gluten Free Trolly to Support Community in Need
One Victorian youngster’s generosity deserves a special mention, supporting those most in need in the Goulburn Valley
Hey Gluten Free Fam,
We have a great feel-good local news story to share with everyone. We know how hard it is out there for people struggling to find consistent access to food, let alone source a diet that’s healthy and balanced. For individuals living with coeliac or a gluten intolerance, this issue becomes all the more difficult.
On that note, a big thank you to Shepparton Foodshare on Facebook for highlighting the work of Connor, a local of the Goulburn Valley region who lives with coeliac disease. The youngster took incredible initiative and showcased amazing generosity to gather an entire trolly full of gluten free brands and ingredients to donate to the community cause.

MEET CONNOR - a little champion with a big heart!
Connor lives with coeliac disease, which means he relies on a gluten-free diet. Wanting to support others in our community with the same dietary needs, he saved his own pocket money and bought a trolly full of gluten-free food to donate to Shepparton Foodshare.
His thoughtful and generous donation has been passed on to local agencies supporting people who require gluten-free options - ensuring his kindness makes a real difference.
Thank you, Connor, for your beautiful gesture and for helping local people in such a meaningful way ❤️.
Statement from Connor’s Family:
Connor has a passion for helping to feed people in his community. He decided to donate GF food as he experiences this himself. Connor plans on donating more and helping Foodshare more out in the future. Connor is glad his donation has sparked a conversation about the need to donate food and help support eachother.
The Amazing Community Work of Shepparton Foodshare
This story demonstrates what people power can really achieve, but also underlines the immense value of community-run organisations at a local level.
While major corporations and the world’s biggest brands amass huge profits, it’s people on the ground who are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate.
One great example is the work of Shepparton Foodshare. The Victorian organisation is a community initiative that rescues and receives donations of food to distribute to local emergency relief agencies, schools and churches that support people in necessitous circumstances in the Goulburn Valley.
